Covid-19: 50 New Cases in Morocco, 4,115 in Total - Health Ministry - chaîne Inter - the latest News

A total of 50 new cases of the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) were confirmed in Morocco until Monday at 10 a.m., bringing the total number of covid-19 cases in the kingdom to 4,115. According to the same source, 76 new recoveries were registered over the given period, bringing the total number of recovered Covid-19 patients to 669, while 161 people died from coronavirus complications since the start of the outbreak. The suspected cases excluded following negative tests have reached 24,301, the source adds. The ministry urges citizens to observe rules of hygiene, implement the precautionary measures issued by the public authorities, act with responsibility and show patriotism. School holidays will start from April 27 until May 3, the ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research announced Sunday night. This decision was taken following the extension of the confinement period in Morocco until May 20 and in order to allow students and trainees to have rest, the ministry pointed out in a press release. The department commended the efforts made by teachers, university and administrative staff to ensure remote learning since March 16, 2020, attendance of students and trainees, as well as the involvement of families in the supervision and monitoring of their children's education. The ministry, which also praised the efforts and civic initiatives undertaken by educational, academic and administrative executives, trainers, families, students and the various stakeholders to ensuire the continuity of remote learning over nearly 6 weeks, without interruption, urged students and trainees to observe the precautionary measures issued by the public authorities, in particular health emergency rules.
