COVID-19: Canada's Response

from Unpublished Cafe Hosted by Unpublished Media Inc.

PUBLISHED: 04/14/2020 The picture of Canada’s response to the Covid 19 pandemic is coming into focus...and it’s not pretty. Earlier this week, The House of Commons Health Committee received documents and emails, compiled from the Ministries of Health, Transport, National Defence, Public Safety and Foreign Affairs. The pages show a fluid challenge for Canada as it appeared the federal government would change tack several times as it wrestled with the incoming Covid 19 pandemic. This highlights two glaring shortfalls in Canada’s Emergency Preparedness. First, better health surveillance to get a clearer picture of whatever emergency is heading our way. Second is proper use the National Emergency Strategic Stockpile. Tom Korski is the managing editor of Blacklock’s Reporter, which first brought these details to light and he joins on today’s issue of the Unpublished Café. ———————————— GUESTS: Tom Korski Managing Editor at Blacklock’s Reporter https://www.blacklocks.ca/about-us/ ———————————— REFERENCES: https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/documents-reveal-glimpse-into-canada-s-early-covid-19-plans-1.4886560 https://www.ctvnews.ca/health/coronavirus/house-health-committee-holds-first-virtual-briefing-on-covid-19-efforts-1.4875766 https://www.hilltimes.com/2020/03/25/a-timeline-of-canadian-covid-19-developments/239788 https://edmontonjournal.com/news/national/the-road-to-canadas-covid-19-outbreak-timeline-of-federal-government-failure-at-border-to-slow-the-virus/ https://edmontonjournal.com/news/national/the-road-to-canadas-covid-19-outbreak-pt-3-timeline-of-federal-government-failure-at-border-to-slow-the-virus/ https://www.mccarthy.ca/en/insights/articles/covid-19-economic-relief-measures-announced-date https://torontosun.com/opinion/columnists/lilley-documents-on-covid-show-feds-slow-to-respond-to-threat https://www.leducrep.com/news/politics/the-road-to-canadas-covid-19-outbreak-pt-2-timeline-of-federal-government-failure-at-border-to-slow-the-virus-2/wcm/ba72f1c7-1546-4b08-af5c-b8fa8cf5940e https://www.cigionline.org/articles/importance-surveillance-and-stockpiles-war-against-covid-19 https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/covid-19-government-documents-1.5528726

Patti Talks Too Much Patti Hi. I'm Patti and it's been said - many times - that I talk too much. I'm a teacher, author, nature lover and for ten years I owned a coffeehouse cafe where my faith in the goodness of humans was restored every day. This podcast highlights the awesomeness of humanity - er...outside the warmongers, globalists, tyrants and politicians in general. You know, the rest of us weird, quirky and sometimes hilarious humans. We'll talk woo, probe mysteries and leave you thinking about something more interesting or entertaining or uplifting than your grocery list, or boss or that oil change your car needs. I talk too much because I can't help my Gemini moon and Leo Rising nature. I do a podcast because it's cheaper, funnier and more productive than therapy.
