Before joining the University of Arizona, Schatz was a functional medicine physician with the Cleveland Clinic.  About the Expert George Schatz, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician working at the Banner - University Medicine Family Medicine Clinic in Tucson, Arizona. He is certified in functional medicine by the Institute for Functional Medicine and has completed a residential fellowship in integrative medicine through the University of Arizona Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine. He also has specialized training in functional medicine earned first-hand at the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine. He earned his medical doctorate from Stony Brook University.
