After California governor Gavin Newsom returned from China, several counties from Sonoma to Santa Clara have enacted mask mandates again, lasting through March of 2024, in order to curb the spread of C19, RSV, and the flu. This comes on the heels of a new CDC guideline for hospitals and health care facilities to force all providers to wear masks during routine care, especially for all respiratory patients. Across the ocean, the UK ‘Covid-inquiry’ is proving to be beneficial for both undermining the public’s faith in government and demonstrating how the word ‘science’ was used to manipulate that same public. From the US-NIH to UK-NHS, white papers show that psychologists employed behavioral modification techniques, propaganda, overwhelming random data, and the like to convince people that a cold was a world stopping disease. In 2022 the Atlantic ran the headline ‘Let’s Declare a Pandemic Amnesty’, and on the one year anniversary of its publication, Scott Galloway, an NYU professor, went on television and said the same thing.
