CPS continues to distribute grants in some rural areas despite court ruling

from AM Live on SAfm · host SABC News and Current Affairs

SAfm — Social Security Angency SASSA says its legal team is investigating whether Cash Paymaster Services, CPS, is violating the Constitutional Court ruling barring it from distributing social grants. This after community members in Limpopo and the Free State's rural villages reported that they still receive their money from the company. CPS, through its subsidiary Net1 Mobile, has been visiting villages in the Giyani area with mobile ATMs. However, the company denies contravening the court order, saying it is making banking services available in the areas. Pimani Baloyi investigated and SASSA speaks on the matter.
