CRAIG ERUPTS OVER RICHARD HUGHES: “HOLD LIVERPOOL TO ACCOUNT!”

Craig takes aim at Liverpool's transfer strategy and questions the reputation Richard Hughes and the recruitment operation were handed before delivering results. After revisiting the claim that Liverpool's transfer planning had effectively been completed back in July, Craig argues the chaotic end to the window tells a very different story. He then widens the criticism to the relationship between clubs and the journalists covering them, arguing Liverpool supporters deserve tougher scrutiny and greater accountability. This is a very clean editorial cut because Craig explicitly transitions into a dedicated rant about Hughes, recruitment and media accountability. His strongest section is the argument that access-dependent football journalism can create an unhealthy relationship and that journalists need to hold the club and Hughes accountable.
