Craig Mitchell Revives Yoko Ono Remixes | Montpelier News

Vermont deejay Craig Mitchell is resurrecting his legendary Yoko Ono remixes this weekend at the SEABA Art Hop, where he’ll spin tracks that once topped the U.S. dance charts—outpacing Madonna and Timberlake! His journey began when he remixed Ono’s 1980 hit “Walking On Thin Ice” with his band, The Orange Factory, giving it a disco twist that launched a grassroots record label, Mind Train, from his living room. Thousands of records shipped out, major publications took notice, and the remix became an underground phenomenon. Now, Mitchell brings that magic back to life at the BCA Center as part of the “Interstitial Yoko Dreams” event, complete with local video art. If you’re in Burlington, don’t miss this rare chance to hear history in motion—and catch the remix on streaming if you can’t make it live.
