Crazy Love

Send us Fan Mail Get ready for one of the wildest true stories ever put to film. This week on Get Doc’d, Daphne, Wilsen, and Michael “El Professor” are joined by special guest Amara to unpack Crazy Love—a documentary that starts like a classic romance and spirals into something far darker. What begins as a story of attraction between Burt Pugach and Linda Riss quickly turns into a chilling exploration of obsession, control, and the devastating consequences of rejection. The crew dives into the shocking 1959 attack that left Riss permanently blinded, the disturbing psychology behind Pugach’s actions, and the unbelievable twists that followed. Along the way, they debate whether this story is about love gone wrong, toxic entitlement, or something even more unsettling. It’s messy, emotional, and at times hard to believe—but that’s exactly why we’re talking about it. Tap in for a conversation that will leave you questioning what “love” really means.
