Create Success on Your Own Terms: 3 Mindset Shifts to Take the Pressure Off
from The Mindset Model · host Sara Davis
What if you stopped chasing someone else's definition of success… and started creating your own? ✨After a few weeks away from the podcast, I'm BACK — and this break gave me a pretty big mindset shift.I'd been putting so much pressure on myself to do more, achieve more and be further ahead that I had forgotten something incredibly important:There is no universal definition of success. So why are we constantly measuring ourselves against one?In this episode of The Mindset Model, I'm sharing 3 mindset shifts to help you take the pressure off, stop comparing your timeline and create success on YOUR terms.✨ In this episode:1. Define YOUR version of successIf nobody else could see your life, what would make you feel successful?Freedom? Slow mornings? Travel? Family? Meaningful work? Creativity? Peace? Impact? Money? All of the above?!We're taking success off the pedestal and asking what a genuinely successful life looks and feels like to you.2. Turn comparison into possibilitySocial media should not be your benchmark for success. We're surrounded by other people's achievements, milestones, businesses, bodies, relationships and highlight reels — and it's incredibly easy to start wondering whether we're behind. But somebody else's timeline has absolutely nothing to do with yours.Instead of using someone's success as evidence that you're behind, what if you used it as evidence of what's possible?Social media can be your vision board — not your scoreboard.3. Build a life you don't need to rush throughYou don't need to desperately chase your dream life.Sometimes the gripping, forcing and “I need to be there NOW” energy is exactly what stops us enjoying everything we've already created.I also share what's been happening behind the scenes for me recently — including the pressure I'd been putting on myself because I couldn't spend as much time on my business as I thought I should.Yet when I actually looked at what was happening, the organic growth was incredible.A beautiful reminder that progress is still happening even when you're not constantly pushing. This episode is your permission slip to dream BIG, want more and create an extraordinary life — while enjoying the person you are and the life you have right now.You are not behind. You don't need to follow somebody else's timeline. And you definitely don't need to exhaust yourself trying to prove that you're successful.Your life. Your timeline. Your definition of success. ❤️🎧 If this episode gave you the mindset shift you needed today, share it with someone who needs the reminder that they're doing better than they think. The Mindset Model — Embodied Authority.
