Created in the Image of God: Thirsty for God and the Living Water

In Episode 9 of the Behold the Bride series of Created in the Image of God on Radio Cape Pulpit 729 AM, Sylvia Colville explores the topic “Thirsty.” She reflects on the difference between physical thirst and a deeper spiritual thirst to know Jesus and experience more of God. Using the image of water and the biblical teaching of Jesus as the living water, the episode encourages listeners to seek a deeper relationship with God. Sylvia shares her personal journey of becoming increasingly thirsty to know God more deeply and explains how this longing led her into the secret place. She discusses the church of Ephesus and the danger of allowing good works and church activities to replace a person's first love for Jesus. The episode also explores worship, emphasizing that worship is not about what we receive from it, but about offering a genuine sacrifice to God. The teaching then looks at the story of the Samaritan woman at the well, where Jesus uses physical water to reveal the deeper need for spiritual transformation. Sylvia encourages those who are hungry and thirsty for more of God to go into the secret place and drink deeply from the fountain of living waters. The episode closes with a prayer asking God to make His people more thirsty for Him and to transform them through His Word and His presence.
