She is the university’s first female athletic director and the first black woman to head an SEC athletics program. Candice discusses her 20+ years at Vanderbilt, from following in the footsteps of David Williams, Vanderbilt’s former athletics director, to the trials and tribulations of leading the athletics department and paving the way for black women in sports.
