Creating a new class of nutrients: bioactive human proteins for people of all ages - with Laura Katz, Founder of Helaina

Laura is the founder of a company called Helaina. Helaina invented a biomanufacturing platform to recreate the bioactive proteins in human milk and throughout the human body for functional food and supplements. They "teach" yeast to replicate these human proteins using precision fermentation. Isn’t that amazing? God I love modern science and technology! Laura has always been obsessed with food and her career followed that true love and passion into food science. In this episode we talk through Laura’s big lightbulb moment, how she approached raising capital with no network and no experience in her early 20s and how you get a big idea like this through to commercialisation.
