Creating Campus Connections in University Activities

The student experience is essentially to any successful institution. Outside of the classroom, students desire exciting entertainment, through-provoking speakers, and engaging opportunities to connect with their peers. Our guests today on “The Power of PennWest” podcast are deeply involved in the activities, entertainment and programming decisions at the California, Clarion and Edinboro campuses. Dr. Shawn Hoke, assistant vice president for Student Affairs, joins campus leaders Jackson Banes, president of California’s Student Activities Board; Zane Huey, chairperson of Clarion’s University Activities Board Gamers Guild; and Aiden Dougan, a member of Edinboro’s University Programming Board to discuss how student organizations collaborate to create an engaging atmosphere on campus and why campus activities are crucial to their own college experiences.
