Creating Communities Connected By Trails - An interview with Chelsea Russell-Ice of Ozark Greenways

from Life in Motion · host Illumine Collect

In this episode we chat with Chelsea Russell-Ice of Ozark Greenways, a nonprofit that's using trails to connect people to beautiful outdoor spaces, each other and the places they want to go. Growing up in Springfield, Chelsea developed a love for trails, trail running, and hiking. Now, as a key member of Ozark Greenways she's on a mission to share that love and passion with thousands of others. Established in 1991, Ozark Greenways is dedicated to building a comprehensive trail system that enriches and connects communities. But trails are more than recreational spaces. They bring people together, create opportunities for outdoor recreation, and promote a sense of unity within communities. Discover how trails can be a catalyst for exploration, adventure, and building lasting connections with both nature and fellow trail enthusiasts. If you've ever wondered how trails can connect us all—physically, emotionally, and socially—then this one's for you!  Life in Motion is brought to you by Actual Outdoors. They help build beautiful brands that highlight the approachable and authentic parts of outdoor recreation. Said simply - they “keep it real”.
