Creating Consistency, Consensus, and Auditing Standards Across the World of Blockchain Technology, with Hind Kurhan @ Thesis* Defense

from Crypto Hipster · host Jamil Hasan

Hind Kurhan is the co-founder of Thesis Defense and a veteran of the security auditing space. She transitioned into the web3 space after building a career in operations and project management in web2 and international humanitarian work. Prior to joining Thesis as a Founder in Residence and co-founding Thesis Defense, she led business development and partnerships and ConsenSys Diligence and was the Director of Security Consulting at Least Authority.  As a result of her personal, academic, and professional background, both in technology and international development — and after direct exposure to people disenfranchised as a result of the struggle for power and the inequitable distribution of income, goods, and resources —  Hind’s unique upbringing instilled a passion to promote and work towards a world where justice prevails over power.  Hind believes that web3 is one of the vehicles for that to be realized by providing equitable access to technology, opportunity, and assets — in addition to promoting autonomy, anonymity, and self-sovereignty. By applying the core tenets of web3, Hind hopes we can together resolve global issues as it pertains to privacy and security, gender, access to capital, the disparity in income and wealth, the impacts of climate change on the disenfranchised, and conflicts arising from global hegemony.
