Creating Healthy Dependency in the 21st Century Guest Laurie Orso, Host Jill Troderman 5/21/25 Ep. 8

from Feeding The Family · host feedingthefamily

Laurie Orso, Montessori Teacher and I, deep dive into what interconnectedness and healthy dependency looks like in today's landscape.  When so many folks are scattered and busy, we've become more independent. We tend to isolate ourselves and not depend on each other but our animal nature calls on us to co-create, leading to making healthy choices. Technology can interfere with our ability to pay attention to each other so how do we consciously nurture healthy dependency from the start with our children, and partners? We groove on how we need each other, yes, us humans, in order to thrive and survive and how it is vitally important that we in create sacred, healthy connections with ourselves, our family and friends and community. We talk about strategies to use to balance and sustain relationships through community routines, like meal time and getting kids involved in cooking, music and sound, and their positive impact on the healing of our overstressed modern nervous systems.  Enjoy the show! Please like and subscribe and we'll see you next time! XO Jill
