A native Spanish speaker fluent in English and French, skilled in Italian and Portuguese, I became a teacher of English and French as a Second and Foreign Language. I also pursued graduate studies as a Public Translator and Interpreter at the University of Buenos Aires. I served as the official translator for the Argentinean Air Force Training Center.Christina Leira became a government employee for DoD serving as the Program Manager for the Foreign Language and Cultural Awareness for all East and South Naval Special Forces Commands. The most life enhancing moments of her life happened as she worked with and for Navy SEALs. she became what she did! Her identity was her job as a coach for language and culture awareness for the SEALs while meeting people from literally all over the world. and suddenly the Government program was defunded after 25 years, and she was forced to pivot!
