Creating Your Customer Avatar

Your Customer Avatar is a big part of step 1 in the Free How To Make Money Online Course: http://milesbeckler.com/make-money-online-step-1-of-3-find-an-audience/ Knowing who you are talking to in your marketing material, emails, podcasts and videos is of the utmost importance.  Speaking to one person in all of your copy creates a feeling of connection that will help you build your relationship with your audience faster and easier. Plus, when you understand more about their life you can begin to speak to their particular situation... For example, if you were entering the weight loss niche you would speak to a young mother in her 30's who has an average household income of $50,000 much differently than you would a divorced man in his 50's who earns $150,000 per year. Your customer avatar is not all about the demographics of age, income, gender, married, kids, etc... Although that does play a role. You can also get into the psychographics of your audience. Understanding about their lifestyle, social class, personality, etc will allow you to further understand the internal conversation they are having in their head. When you can communicate with them in a way that is understanding or compassionate to their deepest fears and desires that they only think about... or loose sleep over... You are invited into their experience as a trusted adviser who 'gets them'. It may seem like a waste of time or an exercise that is slowing you down in your path to building out your online business, but I can tell you from experience that the more closely you understand your target market and your audience by having a crystal clear customer avatar, the easier marketing becomes and everything you do will get better results and more conversions.
