Creation Corner: The People of the Language

Special: Thane and Rhett continue their discussion about the Witani language project Thane's been working on. A language thrives when people speak it, so this week we talk about the Witani, the imaginary warriors who live freely in vast, open spaces and tend to their herds of hardy horses. In this episode we mention a couple things you may want to turn to for inspiration: Skyrim has an atmospheric, adventurous soundtrack. You've likely heard it before, but man--it's worth another listen, especially as you build your next adventure! Thane particularly mentions the thematic music around the city of Whiterun. We're both fans of the style and look of the Rohirrim from the Lord of the Rings. The movies do a great job of bringing this people based on the Anglo-Saxons to life. For some inspiration, check out the look of their armor and the artistic styling of their buildings. Thane's work has led to a couple fun episodes that have really stretched our understanding of language and has led our thoughts in new directions.
