Crecimos

Growing up We grew up struggling for a morning, guided towards the brightness of a star. We tried not to fall into the battle Of the soul which is so cruel or so beautiful. We painted our skies with colours, we pretended to be puppets. We filled our sea with shells, we sang with a poet’s rhyme. I tell you more, I follow an idea, we have dreamt together our whole life. We feel the love that runs in your veins, That arises in my sap, takes away your griefs. We expected to see a different world, To walk hand in hand with the people. And when it was said that everything was already rotten, We went together to try in some other way. We marched resisting our idea, We went on chasing an absent soul. We got outsiders off this train, As well as everything that darkens our mind. We cried for people, Riding on a comet’s tail. We have lived for those men who lit up The flame with an end, with a goal. I tell you more, I follow an idea, we have dreamt together our whole life. We feel the love that runs in your veins, That arises in my sap, takes away your griefs.
