Credibility is the foundation of leadership! And people have to believe in those they are going to follow, before they will willingly follow them. In the next few weeks, we will look at why credibility worldwide is at an alltime record low. After rising for a decade, in the early 2000s confidence in institutions and leaders began to slide. By 2007 trust, (the key ingredient in credibility) took a nosedive. Today, there is not one sector in the population which has not had its leaders suffer from a lack of credibility. From Wall Street to Main Street, scandals, greed, ad infidelity have ripped away the credibility of leaders.
