Credit Suisse posted a disastrous loss of CHF 4 bn in its Q3 results, hugely below the average estimate of CHF 413m. The disappointing results come as the bank is preparing a sweeping restructuring overhaul and is said to be in advanced talks with a group including heavyweights Apollo and Pimco, who are interested in buying the bank’s securitised products business.
