Crime: For Fluff's Sake

Today we are talking about everyone's favourite topic - DOGS! That may have been click bait because we actually take a bit of a delve into animal cruelty - what it is, what it covers and who investigates it. We tell a fair few fluffy stories about the little creatures we love (a little smoodle called Norman, mainly) and implore you to report any complaints to RSPCA if you see something that just doesn't look right. We get so much love from our little furry friends (all creatures, great and small - does that trigger anyone to that ad a few years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vO5qXw-WTDk). Come along with us - this one is short, sweet and a little serious somewhere around 10 minutes. Enjoy! ----------------------- Show notes: If you want to report an instance of animal cruelty, please visit RSCPA's website at https://rspcavic.org/services/inspectorate/report-cruelty/ Sources for today's ep are: - https://agriculture.vic.gov.au/livestock-and-animals/livestock-health-and-welfare/report-animal-cruelty - https://agriculture.vic.gov.au/livestock-and-animals/animal-welfare-victoria/pocta-act-1986/about-the-prevention-of-cruelty-to-animals-legislation - https://content.legislation.vic.gov.au/sites/default/files/2020-04/86-46aa096%20authorised.pdf - https://www.sentencingcouncil.vic.gov.au/sites/default/files/2019-08/Animal_Cruelty_Offences_in_Victoria.pdf - https://www.sentencingcouncil.vic.gov.au/sites/default/files/2019-08/Animal_Cruelty_Offences_in_Victoria_Factsheet.pdf - https://www.armstronglegal.com.au/criminal-law/vic/offences/aggravated-cruelty/ - https://www.gotocourt.com.au/criminal-law/vic/animal-cruelty-offences/#:~:text=The%20offence%20of%20animal%20cruelty,to%20%2496%2C614%20for%20a%20corporation) ------------- Music: Shane Ivers - https://www.silvermansound.com DISCLAIMER: https://www.intheknowpodcast.com/disclaimer
