S1 E2: Colonel George Davenport, an English born settler came to land in the US in 1804. After spending some time on the east coast, he made his way to the Midwest and settled along the upper Mississippi, eventually making his home on what is now the Rock Island Arsenal. With all of the experience he gained in life via the Army, exploration and business, George came to serve as an influential person to the Quad Cities area.
