Frankrijk dreigt opnieuw in een politieke crisis te belanden. President Emmanuel Macron moet waarschijnlijk op zoek naar alweer een nieuwe premier, nu François Bayrou een vertrouwensstemming bijna zeker gaat verliezen. Ondertussen dreigen woensdag massale stakingen en wacht vrijdag een pijnlijke kredietbeoordeling. Ook aan de andere kant van de Atlantische Oceaan gebeurt er veel: Donald Trump kondigt nieuwe gesprekken aan met Poetin en wil strengere sancties tegen Rusland na de grootste drone-aanval op Oekraïne sinds 2022. De Europese Commissie werkt ondertussen aan het 19e sanctiepakket en hoopt sancties te kunnen coördineren met de Amerikanen.  En in Noorwegen gaan de kiezers vandaag naar de stembus. Geen EU-lid, wel een sleutelspeler in de NAVO en de Europese interne markt. De Arbeiderspartij van premier Støre ligt voor in de peilingen, maar rechtse partijen hopen nog op een verrassing.
