Critics Target California's Slow Ballot Count

California’s vote counting is slow by design. It happens because of Mail ballots, Late arrivals, Signature checks, and Large population. While critics question it, there’s no evidence that the delay means elections are rigged.  California’s top‑two primary is a unique system meant to shake up politics. In reality, it still produces mostly traditional matchups and can create unexpected or risky outcomes. The process has mixed success in making politics less partisan.
