In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three dark things take power, we like to call it the supernatural hour. Hey, welcome to the Supernatural Hour. I'm your host, Raven.
This is Rogue. I'm Chad. And this is Klaus. Klaus!
Yay! We're glad to have you here. Hello. We miss Klaus and I have to tell you one of the many reasons why we miss Klaus.
And this is why we weren't recording, but we're going to bring it back up because it was hilarious and I laughed. What exactly, what, what treat were we eating? I gave Klaus some orange circus peanuts. Peanuts.
Words peanuts. He may have used a different word. Potentially. But it's peanuts.
Peanuts. Which tastes like banana, but you know, whatever. Bananas. Banana, how can we just go along?
We can just go along with what we were talking about. Okay, wow, we started off really dirty with me. I'm sorry, I'm going to get me on board. That's okay.
That's okay. That's okay. So for the business, it's brought to you by Castle Photo Art. I'm going to see Castle for your photo needs.
He does a great job. Also, we want to thank our patrons on going. We've got some great people, some great patrons that help us out so much. One of our new friends is the town hub.
We're going to talk about them a little later in the podcast. They're a theater and they do events and all sorts of things. Awesome. And we had a great time there and we're glad to have them on board.
So that's kind of the business. We're looking for a new event coming up in about six weeks where it's in the work, so we're pretty excited about that. Yeah, I need to call them tomorrow. And I think that's about it for the business.
Yeah. So can we talk about the hub now? Yeah, I think we'd be good time. Okay.
Because that's part of the investigations, right? Yep. So, but it's not as residential. No, but it's an investigation.
It's still paranormal. I work on lists. I'm a list person. I thought I was the ESTJ.
You are, but INFJs do lists. I'm an IT&J or something like that. So we're all, you know, different people. Okay.
So for people who don't know what are these, these are Myers Briggs. Yeah, Myers Briggs. And I know we talked about this briefly on one of our early, early podcasts when we were in HIFA's basement. We kind of talked about what our Myers Briggs was and I don't know why because it has nothing whatsoever to do with paranormal, but you know, whatever.
It may help you understand us a little better. Okay. So we went to, is it called the town hub? The town hub theater with town TOWN.
So like not too long ago, it was called the town cinema. Just a sticky shoe, little theater built in 1953 on American Fork Main Street. And we drove by one day and thought it's a theater. It's old.
They're looking for stuff to come in. So we called him and they said, yeah, that would be great. So we went in and so the owner, his name is Jason, super, super nice family. He and his wife run it.
And he said that some of the activity that they've had was, you know, they've, they purchased this building in 2019 and you know, they were cleaning it and getting it ready. It's no longer a sticky shoe. Your shoes stay on your feet when you walk around. Oh, that's good.
Yeah, that always helps. So when Mike left and they don't live very far away, he said two or three blocks away. He gets home, he goes to plug his phone in the charger and he realizes, oh, I left my charger at the theater. And he said, you know, he's very particular about how he does things.
And so he says, every time I lock the door, I check it, you know, lock, rattle. He've all done it, right? Of course. And he went back to the theater and he says, just, I was in a hurry.
I was tired and just instinctively I didn't think that I locked the door. And you know, he's like, as I'm reaching for the door, his head's going, he needs to unlock the door. And he said, wow, I know I locked that. And he says, if you go back, they went back and looked at their security footage and you see him lock it.
He says, you see me lock it. You see me check it and he says, and there's nothing, nothing before he comes back. He says, I wasn't home for very long. I didn't have to watch the footage for hours.
You know, it was within half an hour or so. And so he called his wife and he said, the door was unlocked. Now I've got to go through the whole theater and make sure no one's here. And that's a pretty big theater.
I mean, when you drive past it, it doesn't look big, but there's a whole upstairs. You know, the two big theaters, the lobby, I mean, there's also, you know, it's going to take him a good half hour to walk through and, you know, back behind the dark and there's all the chairs anyway. So he had to walk through and make sure nothing was there. He left a lot of the door.
And the next thing that happened, oh, you were going to see something? No, I was just going to say that, you know, he checked his security footage and there was him leaving and there was him coming back. There was nothing else. And you know, him jiggling the door to, you know, when he locked it to get out.
So it was very, very interesting. Yeah. And then just a couple months ago, they were taking some stuff out to the dumpster. And there's just this ratty old teddy bear face down in this puddle.
You know, and he says the only reason we really noticed it is because his kids kind of pointed it out. And, you know, like, you know, don't touch it. Don't play that. It's kind of creepy.
And then the next day it was gone. And they didn't really, again, you know, didn't put much thought into it. Didn't see it for months and months. And when he was telling me the story, he says it came back.
It's actually leaning on the outside of the building because I'd asked him, I'm like, oh, can you bring the teddy bear here? Because I kind of misunderstood the story at first and I thought that the kids had brought it in or something. And so Jason says, no, it's outside by the building. And I said, oh, so what does Raven do?
I've got it. That's a creepy doll. It was a, I've actually got some pictures. I'm going to put them up.
And we'll put them on YouTube when we do the YouTube version. Right. But yeah, you'll see this bear. It's a creepy looking old ratty, wasn't it, Rogue?
It is. It's pretty creepy and dirty and mushed and crushed and kind of sad. It was sad. So when you're laying down at a putty muddle, I'm a muddy puddle.
A muddy muddle? A muddy muddle? A muddy muddle? Yeah, I would, I'd look pretty sad and dilapidated if that was a muddy puddle.
So we went out and it was leaning up against the side of the building. And so I picked it up with my nails. I got long nails. I picked it up and I carried it, you know, holding it out.
I brought it in. We had a table set up with a dark table cloth on it. I literally just sat it on the table. Yeah, I didn't throw it down.
I just sat it down and probably a fourth of a cup of dirt just fell onto the table. That was very specific there, by the way, fourth of a cup. One fourth, not an eighth of a cup. And then I got the table cloth after they said this needs to be washed.
I shook it out and you could, you know, feel the sand and grain things just from the wood had been dumped when I shook it out. It was filthy. Anyway, and it named it Annabair. Oh.
Yeah. I forgot about that. It's named Annabair. The sad thing though is apparently it had a type three or a demonic attachment to it so I couldn't bring it home.
I was totally going to bring it home. Where did it go? We put it back. Back where inside the building?
Yep. Is it just staying there now? Yep. Still there to this day?
I mean it was like two days ago. Two days ago we did this. Two days ago? All these listeners came to come and go find Annabair.
And I could get it and put it in a bag of salt and... Go out of the salt flats. Take a trip. Yeah.
So the investigation in and of itself was very good. Rogue, do you want to tell us about some of your experiences there? Well, for me, it was a little different because I had a team, but my team was very self-intertaining. So I took the opportunity to have some time by myself.
So I was able to sit in the theaters in different areas just kind of on my own. Sitting by myself, I could feel somebody just kind of softly touching me. And I've taken quite a few videos where I've got quite a few orbs, light streams coming, shooting near me and around me. So as far as that goes, that was probably my highlights of being there.
I didn't see any shadow people like other people did. But my team was very entertained by a couple of different spirits that they'd met behind the scenes. I think they named one Larry. I don't really remember the names that were going on, but there was a lot of activity.
Everybody was having a really good time. Right. And Emmett wasn't able to be here with us today. He's not feeling well, and Doc is, he had a family thing come up.
So that's why he's not here today as well. So and I kind of wish they were here so they could tell us what they found. I do know Emmett saw a visible pink orb and it's fun when you can see them with your naked eye. My team actually had, it was half and half.
It was half our patrons. And it was half people that had never investigated before and had never heard of us before. And they had about to get stuff at theater. And so our patrons, they kind of, they did their own thing, but I mean they were with the group too.
But occasionally they'd go off and do their own thing, which is fine. And I can't... Because they come with their own equipment. Right.
And they... Oh, go ahead. No, so when they come with their own equipment, they kind of go sidebar. Right.
And we think that's great. You know, you paid a ticket to come if that's what makes you happy. You know, go ahead. Absolutely.
But they also are engaging and they'll come back, hey Reeve and come look at this. Hey, what do you think of that? Yeah. So they're engaging and it was good.
So they spend some time with these four new people. And what do you call the new people? Bait. Why do you call them bait?
Oh, you have to ask Castle. That's his thing. But are you baiting the ghost to come scare them? I guess.
How does that person have seen a ghost or not? Your ghost bait. Do you get like give off an art of like, I've seen a ghost? To give a sign.
To give him some worms. I'm like, hey, what kind of a this? What was this supposed to do? It's supposed to attract ghosts, you know?
Gummy worms. So I had three women and one man. And the man was actually quite sensitive. And he pulled me aside later and I don't want to break his confidence.
But basically what I feel like I can tell you is he came in kind of as a skeptic. And every once in a while he would say, just these thoughts are coming into my head. And so we'd ask the spirits that we were talking to through the instruments that we were using and through the dowsing rods. And a lot of the things that he felt were confirmed.
That's what he thought that was kind of cool. But we ran into a type three, there's a type three there. Other than Anna Bear, right? Other than Anna Bear.
Oh, and she makes sure. Well, this is the bear that this type three likes. Also it is. We got you.
We saw shadow people. We were in one of the theaters. We were up at the front asking questions to a spirit that was talking to us. But we kept hearing noises in the back corner and then I saw a shadow person.
And the interesting thing is Rogue said, oh, that was probably me because I came in and was sitting in that corner and then I left. And I said, and Rogue was in the other theater. She was in a different location, correct? I mean, her group was in a different location than yours.
Yes, her group was somewhere else. But, you know, she had the opportunity to kind of go a couple of different places by herself. And I said, that wasn't you unless you walked through the wall, coming in and walked through the wall leaving because the door didn't open. Anyway, we went back there to make sure there wasn't like a mouse or a rat.
And there was, yeah, we heard a lot of a scuffling back there. Interesting. So the theater locations I thought were really neat. They kind of had, you know, it was originally an old big movie theater and they split it in half so that it's now got two screens and two stages.
And then behind each one of the stages is an area, you know, for setting up things and the speakers. And so it's kind of a smaller room that was pretty cool. And then behind one of them there was yet even another storage room that had a lot of like spare theater chairs and things that they do to set up. And that was a kind of a creepy room.
I don't know if anybody really had any experiences back there, but that was another one. But those were the kind of way the theaters were. And one of them had that back storage room area and the other area had the lobby and like the ticket booth and the restrooms. And there was actually, I was out in the lobby most of the time with the table and the events.
And there was a lot of activity that was going on in the ticket booth out front when they opened that up and then in the women's bathroom. In fact, a couple of our investigators came out and asked the Jason and his wife, are you guys playing any music? And they said, no, we don't have any music going. And they go here in the women's bathroom, we can hear music.
And they went outside and to see if there was music coming from outside. And they couldn't, but just very, very faintly they heard music in the bathroom and nobody was playing music. Right. And I think it was the same group.
I've got two stories about them that night. They were upstairs in the projector room and they were using the SLS, but one of the gals had an SLS on her phone at the phone app. It's called Ghost Tube? Ghost Tube.
And it looks like it's a really good. Yeah. And they actually, and most you have to be careful because sometimes the connect system will triangulate and try to make a chair a person or a light a person. And so that they caught a figure.
And at first you're thinking, oh, which is just kind of tracking on that stuff. But then it sits up and then it starts moving and lays up this thing as it's moving. And then later it's over by some equipment and it looks like it's working. You know, it's bending down and reaching up and reaching over and it's really cool.
Well, if we can get that down to a short enough little clip, we'll put it up on TikTok. But the same group. Yeah. And the person that took that to give us permission to share that with everybody.
Yeah. So the same group, couple of our patrons, different patrons and the ones I had in my group, it was towards the end of the night. And I thought, okay, you know, we're back in the, I ended up back in the room where Annabare was and I thought, well, this is the last rotation. We're going to go out to that creepy story drum because you actually had to leave the theatre, you know, and go out and come back in.
And I thought, as long as I'm going out, I'm going to take Annabare out and put it outside. So I'm holding it out in front of me, you know, arm's length, especially because not only is it possibly dirty and lyseriden, but now it's got demons attached to it too. So. And an arm's leg helps, but he must.
Yes. 60, please. Exactly. So here I am.
Well, they had come outside of the building on the other side. And I think they weren't looking for the bear because they knew it was inside. But I think they were looking for where it had been because they actually saw me go out and get it. So they knew where it was and they were kind of exploring the outside of the building, trying to get some stuff out there.
They've got the bear in mind. So I'm coming from the other side of the building. So we're on either side of the building about the same place. We come around at the same time.
They scared the absolute soul out of me. And then I think I scared them worse because all these, the first thing they see is this bear levitating. Just in body, hand holding a bear as you come around the corner. I'm a little scared to get the other side of the building in the air.
I had a bit of a moment. But we were coming. They all came in laughing though. I mean, that scared laughing.
And the scare was it was brief. You know, it was, you know, it wasn't it was funny. But that was a good investigation and we are definitely going to be going back. So watch for that probably sooner than later.
So town hub at theater. They'll do events for you. You can schedule out their theater and when we went and did our initial check it out or initial walk through, they were doing some events for school, doing the dance production in the theater. So if you have things that you need to do like that, big groups and you need a place, consider the town hub.
They're a great place. Yep. All right. Well, we actually had some residential.
It's been a while. So the misfortune to that is I haven't been to them. So yeah, so this year with residential, we had them scheduled a lot of times, but with all the illness going around, they get rescheduled, they get cancelled. I know we keep saying we've got one.
We'll tell you about it next time and the next time we've got one, but we'll tell you about it next time. Anyway, we finally were able to get through the sick and be able to actually get into a couple of these. So one was down in Salem and the client told us they had a balloon, you know, just a helium balloons travel, you know, you put it in the front room and the next hours. Depends if you've got any fans or a drift going anywhere.
I mean, I've had a few balloons with my kids and they go from one room to another without them touching it. It's like, I would just go, you know, air flow going through, right? Right. You know, because I've had balloons get around here and you never know where you're going to find it.
And sometimes it floats in the bathroom in the middle of the night and you want to go to the bathroom and have a heart attack and, you know, we've all been there. No, no, no stuff. Just me, just me. Anyway, so, but she said that the way this would come in, it just wasn't right.
You know, there's too many turns. And it would come in too fast and just repeatedly. And you know, she said the same thing. She says, I know that these balloons move around, you know, you open a door and it's going to send air flow.
But she said it always said no matter where you put it in the house, it always ended up in the same place. And so she was curious. So she turned off all the fans, you know, not that she had fans on it. It's winter time.
It's cold. And that place was the master bedroom, correct? Master bedroom where she was. And it had, she turned off the front house, turned off the air and it would just go and she had to literally tie it to a cup so she could sleep just because it gave her the creeps.
Now why a cup? There's a lot of things you can tie a balloon to. It probably had a little handle. It had a handle.
I was going to say tie to a chair. I think it's probably just a teddy bear. And a bear. I think it's just the first thing that she fed.
So, you know, part of her was like, okay, it's probably, you know, probably just the air flow. But even though it was kind of weird just the turns it would have to make to get into the bedroom. But then she said one night, her kids were sleeping, her kids are, she has three children and they're all very small. So they were asleep.
She has, from her bed, she can see her scale. And it's a scale that's a motion sense. Well, not a motion sense in scale, but you stand on the light comes on. The light's not going to come on if you're not standing on the scale.
And her husband was at work. And she said the light kept coming on. And this was just, you know, right after the balloon incident. And so at first she thought, oh, you know, the battery's going bad and doing weird things.
And so she went in and changed the battery. And it would still do it. Come on and go off, come on and go off. And so she called me.
And it's actually my cousin. So she said, hey, and she had gone to the petitine. So she was afraid that something had fallen to her from a teeny. And the- So what's petitine for listeners?
Petini's school. It was the last public investigation we did. Back in the old school of the 1902. And the short version, something had followed her home from petitine, but it was something that it wasn't like a resident at Petini, not a resident ghost.
It was just happened. They happened to be passing by and noticed her and went home with her. So it was, there were five spirits. There were two women and three children.
None of them were related. They just kind of, I think, walking dead. They just kind of banded together. And you know, it's like we're going to face this living world as dead people together.
I don't know. They have power numbers. Exactly. And they wanted to cross.
And that's one of the reasons they could tell that she could kind of feel them and so they were trying to get her attention. The balloon was actually being brought into her by one of the children. And so we crossed them over. Very cool.
So the second residential we did was in Salt Lake. It was a lady who had kind of a traumatic childhood and it felt like she had something that had been attached to her since she was a child. And so we went to the home and Rogue wasn't able to go, but she had kind of zoned in on her and thought it might be an object attachment. So we were able to...
And Emma was with us on this. Yes. Emma came. It was actually someone that had contacted him.
And we were able to find that object. It was a pillow that her aunt had made, so she had had it her whole life. We kind of figured it would probably be something from when she was younger. Early childhood, yeah.
Maybe not whole life, but something that had been around her family for a very long time. Yes. And so we got that taken care of. She's going to, we told her how to get that taken care of and she's going through the process.
You know, put it in a bag with salt for now and then she's going to take it someplace and dispose of it. But while we were on the property, we also found there was a Native American spirit who had been hung and buried without ceremony. And so he was just upset that he'd been given a very unceremonial burial. And so Emma said some words, you know, kind of a service of sort.
And he was happy with that. He just wanted some recognition and not to just be stuffed in the ground. And then we found... It was an old thing over a century.
Oh yeah, it was. This wasn't a recent... No, this would have been late 17 or early 1800s. This is no like Yellowstone stuff would go on, right?
No, like TV show Yellowstone. That show was so good. If you guys haven't watched it, you've got to watch it. They didn't take this into the bus station or the train station or whatever.
I'm still watching it. So far it's been pretty good. But anyways. And then you've got to watch 1883.
Oh boy. That's a pretty cool. Odds looking new. Okay.
So anyway, let's go around. Alright, so, um... So then we found... So then we found...
Well, the portal was in the neighbor's yard. And it was a positive portal. We didn't need to do anything with it. But it did come into her yard just slightly.
And so... And it was a big portal. It was very large. So we let her know, hey, there's a positive portal.
It's right here. You might get some pass her through. Yeah, there's several feet of that portal in her... You know, just past her fence line.
But the bulk of the portal was over in the neighbor's yard. Right. So we told her about pass her through and how they came into the house. She could tell them they weren't welcome if they were causing issues.
She was also a master gardener. She had a master's degree in horticulture. And Emma actually really felt like there were a lot of earth elementals in the area. She was very much into natural gardening.
Organic gardening. You know, not using herbicides. You know, making sure you get the right soil content and the plants and everything. It was very interesting what she did.
But I told Emma later, I said, I wonder if those earth elementals were drawn there just because it was so organic and so natural. But she just really felt like there was a lot of those there as well. And she was quite sensitive. So I think she could feel some of that.
But just not knowing what it was can cause you something. So if you can feel like there's something there, but you don't know. And earth elementals, they're not negative feeling. But to me, elementals are, I have a hard time reading them.
If someone else says, I think there's elementals here, then I can kind of zone in on them. But if you send me by myself, I'm not going to pick up on it. Does that make sense? Um, but to me, earth elementals feel heavy, but not like a dark heavy, just like earthy heavy.
They feel like potatoes. Potatoes. Yes. I'm happy.
So probably. Oh, I'm going to scratch this. It was the best time. Yeah.
So, uh, then we told you don't need to do anything with earth elementals. They're good. They're, they're helping out. So just don't get them angry.
Like, remnants. Oh, the Hulk. These big green don't get him angry. Even now.
He's kind of earthy. He doesn't look like a potato though. No. All right.
So those were the residential. We actually have one scheduled. So next podcast, we should have another residential story for you. Perfect.
So tonight's main topic is crop circles and it's brought to you by Oteos. Awesome. So we have a little bit of a chance there in Linden. Go get them a try.
Crop circles. Alien. Paranormal. Well, I guess that would be your paranormal.
Well, there could be like ghost paranormal and then just nature. So I can imagine considered supernatural. Yeah. Super natural.
Super natural events. Wow. That's like we have an hour. We can talk about that.
Yeah, at least part of an hour. The supernatural part of an hour. Who part of an hour? You have to be brand.
Dang it. So crop circles. I think everyone is right. Crop circles.
I'm pretty sure they haven't been widely popular in the 2000s. Oh, they got really crazy back in the 70s. Mm-hmm. 60s, 70s, early 80s.
Now they did start back as far back as that was a really awkward sentence. They actually have recorded crop circles as far back as 1687. But in my lifetime, I just know in the late 70s, early 80s, they went through a rash of popularity. Yeah, there's pretty interesting wood carving of a devil making a crop circle.
I've seen on a number of the documentaries and YouTube things that I've been watching. And that's going back to the 1600s that you were talking about. But they have had that. So crop circles have been around for a long time.
Right. And part of me says, well, if they were just wildly popular in the 70s, somebody did it as a college prank or just to have fun. And lots of people did it and then it died out. But if you've got drawings of devils doing it in the early 1600s, it kind of makes you pause.
And not that people back then couldn't be pranksters, but I don't know. So if you don't know what a crop circle is, you've basically lived under a rock. Let me fill you in just a little bit. You may have some younger audience that may not know what a crop circle is.
Everybody knows what crop circles are. I don't know. We could pull millennials or Gen Z to see if they really know what a crop circle is. I'm going to call Gen Z now.
Oh, no. What do I call Gen Z now? Zomers. That's amazing.
Okay. From boomers to zoomers. It's like a play on boomers and they're the zoom generation because they've had to go to school on zoomers. It's brilliant though.
It is a brilliant name. Where are you? Kim will that need to know Belvie's prize? They really do.
Zomers. Okay. What we got to talk about what a crop circle is. Define the crop circle.
Okay. So if you're young and you don't know what a crop circle is, you don't live under a rock. Is it like a circle in crops or crops and circles? If you're over the age of 35 and don't know what this is, get out from under your rock.
Okay. I'm just trying to stay face. They're sorry. So crop circles are literally that.
They're patterns. Most of them are circles because those are the easiest to make. And just these intricate, beautiful patterns. And they're in corn fields.
If I were a farmer, I would be pissed because it squishes it all down and you lose that part of the crop. So farmers aren't too keen on these. But they're huge. These aren't 10 feet wide.
These are acres. Acres. Acres and acres. And now most of them are circles are incorporated the most.
But as we were looking through some, you know, online. Fractal geometric patterns that are just awesome. Amazing. And you couldn't do it in a knife.
I mean, some of these were amazing. One of them was five foot ball fields, long by five foot ball fields wide. That is a very large crop circle. Right.
And a lot of them were just patterns. A lot of them. Now, Chad, you were telling me about a YouTube video that you watched where they were equations. Mm-hmm.
Yeah, there's one and it was pretty was pie. And it started in the center and it jagged out a little bit and went three lengths. And then it had a circle, three lengths. And then it bumped up a few feet and then went, what is it?
Pies 3.1 something or other? 4.15. Yeah, so it went down one more length and then it bumped up a circle. It didn't have a circle, but then it bumped up and then went another thing.
So you had a line that represented pie in the circle and to like 10 digits. Wow. And it's really, you know, really amazing. And you can look at it and it's the circle.
But it's like, what does that mean? And it's like that's pie. But a supernatural or, you know, an healing race can go further than 10 digits a pie. Well, you know, I guess it depends on how big you want your crop circle.
Well, if it was five foot by five foot by five feet, I'll need to go watch the work there. That's a big field. Absolutely. So I'm going to go back to Chad, what you were saying about the picture of the devil making a crop circle.
There's actually a woodcut that illustrates this folklore and it's called the mowing devil. There's an English farmer who told a worker that he was feuding with that he would rather pay the devil himself to cut his own field than pay the feed that this worker demanded. So the source of the harvesting is not a known or mysterious, but it's indeed Satan himself, you know, complete with the horn and tails that can be seen, you know, doing this with the scythe, that's the one you were talking about. And so that's the story that that kind of stems from that one in 1687.
That's going to say one of the interesting things about the crop circles and when they do this, they're not just knocked down. They're usually the crops are usually about an inch or two high and then there's a band. So that the stock goes up about an inch or two and then they're bent over at that point, not really broken. I mean, they're, you know, they're not broken off, but they're usually bent.
So it's a very kind of distinctive pattern on the crops. Yeah. People aren't going out there with a weed wacker just knocking stuff down. It's a big bend.
So they first kind of got popular, you know, the big resurgence, as it were, in Australia in 1966. And in this particular instance, there was a farmer who said he saw a flying saucer rise up from a swampy area, fly away. And then when he went to investigate it, he saw a rough circular area of debris and then the flattened reeds in the grass, like you said, not broken, not cut off, but just kind of bent over. And he just kind of assumed, oh, this was made by, you know, the aliens and, you know, the police investigators went out and they're looking out there like, it's probably, you know, something that's been made by a water spout or a dust devil.
And they didn't call them crop circles at the time. They called them flying saucer nests. Because this one thought you have those landage correct? So circles in grass can be natural.
I mean, how many times have you put the kitty pool out in the backyard and it's out there for a week and you move it? Yeah, but that's usually because it's still man made then. You put an object on the grass that you circle. Right.
Right, exactly. So a lot of people are saying, oh, you know, it's because of something or it's disease or, you know, there's just a lot of times where, you know, circles happen, you know, you read killer and you got a. Well, it's also, it's a solution. I was going to say it disperses from the source.
That's causing clotsplooching. Splooching. That's, that's the difference between how my brain works and how normal people's brains work. I dropped some water and it's bloosh.
Um, a lot of these crop circles, even though that's not what they were called at the time that appeared, are sometimes attributed to fairies. Some people think that it's caused by disease. I'm not sure where I sit with these, honestly. The interesting thing is no one has ever been caught making one of these ever that's been recorded.
Interesting. I've also seen documentaries or videos about how how they could be potentially a hoax where they get like a multitude of people that go out there where they board and not even a board. It's like a PVC pipe and string and they're able to bend the crop down without breaking it because there was one thing that was man named. People were stepping on it.
They'd be breaking the stock or whatever. And they were showing that, okay, we can do that. We can do this in five feet sections and you hit this rod and you bend it and it bends it. It doesn't snap it bends it.
It's like, I'm not sure if you're going to do this in a night, but you would think you'd hear 10, 20 people running around in a forest, one night in a forest, one night in a field and hearing rustling. And when you get 10 and 20 people together, how often can they not keep their mouth shut? Yeah, that's right. How about things that go on?
I mean, in law enforcement, so many of the crimes are found out about because people just can't keep their mouth shut. Right. And even just physically there at night, sound carries so much better, no matter how quiet you are. I mean, you'd have to be out there and just be totally silent.
Yeah. And I am sure there's a certain percentage that our hoax is of some kind. In fact, there were a couple of guys in the 70s for about 10 years in England that would go out every Friday night and make crop circles and they never got caught. And there's a whole documentary on them.
And so a lot of people who describe all crop circles as the hoax. I mean, this guy's wife didn't even know that was going on. You know, he'd go out and they were both kind of artists and they were older guys and they'd go out and have a board with a rope and make the crop circles. And a lot of the crop circles in England, they're around Stonehenge in the 1970s and the 80s were them doing this Friday night because they just had such a good time doing it.
Now this does remind me of most recent monoliths in Utah. I remember it was 2021, 2020, those two years just blend together really well. We had that monolith thing that came up in the middle of the desert. We're like, where did this guy monolith come from?
I guess that could be considered this generation's crop circle because it also popped up in other places around the world and then kind of find out that it was just an artist who would illegally drop these monoliths and monoliths or art in natural places. But the problem with that was it was also causing high traffic and non-high traffic areas and damaging the wildlife. Has everybody come to see them? Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah. And the same thing, there's some giant trees. It was watching a very interesting YouTube video about the tallest trees in the world.
And there's a number of them that it's like, and they're in this general area but we're not telling you where because foot traffic will probably destroy the environment in which they're in and possibly kill them. Yeah. Same kind of thing. So you get art out in environmentally sensitive areas and it can be very devastating to the environment.
Now you can definitely, like with those crop circles, in my mind I could definitely see a farmer who's struggling with money and be able to do this to bring some sort of cash revenue in. To be like, hey, you're struggling with my farm. I'm going to get me in 10 of my best friends and we're going to go do this. And then be like, oh, I didn't know.
Right? And that definitely can bring some revenue in because now people are coming to see your crops are going, you're paying per head or whatever. I mean, there's definitely, I can understand the aspect of a hoax when it comes to crop circles. But at the same time, there's some of them that are just so meticulously detailed and oriented that in the 70s where you didn't have drones, where you didn't have an aerial like easy way to see it exactly.
Like nowadays you have a drone, you get a person out of the drone. Drones are loud when you're wrong. But if you had a drone, you could get an aerial view of whatever you're doing and they're like, oh, I need to go this way, just a hair keep going. And it would make crop circles so much easier.
I would think this time of day or this time of year and age. So a lot of people thought that they could be attributed to disease. And I'm totally on board with that. Circles in nature are extremely common, extremely easy.
Thung circles and all sorts of things. But to me, it's going to be a little randomized and some of these patterns that you see, you look at it and say, that's not disease. Maybe that one is a disease, but not this whole intricate Fibonacci sequence. Yeah, or a pry or a or a or a.
So it was in the heyday of these went from about 1966 to the early 90s. So yeah, you have to be very young to know about that. They made a movie about this kind of crap, you know, in the late 90s, early 2000s. I think it was called Sign, a Documentary of all signs, right?
And like Sean Alon, Greg, Dr. N 1996, probably the most at the time, up to that time. I don't know what's happened since then. But one of the most complex and spectacular crop circles actually appeared in England.
And it was just right across from Stonehenge, just there in southwest England. And it was a fractal pattern. And I think they call it the Julia set. Julia.
Hang on. Yeah, the Julia set. And you know, rough circles, circular patterns can be explained as, you know, weather phenomenon and disease and some of these things we've already talked about. This one was so intricate, so detailed, so big.
And it was just unmistakably demonstrated intelligence. You know, everyone that saw it was like, yeah, that didn't just happen. You know, that had to have been planned out. It had to have been calculated.
And so then everyone started to say aliens. I mean, they've been saying aliens since 1966, but you know, the alien thing kind of came back and was big. It's aliens. I think it goes on.
However, that was revealed that three hoaxers did that. Are you going to get to that? Yes. But that's okay.
No, no, that's fine. I just wanted to make sure that we did get to the get to the back. That was a hoax. Yeah, this one was it actually appeared in less than an hour and it happened during the day time.
It wasn't there in the morning and by evening it was. And a lot of people at the time thought it would be hard for hoaxers to do that and flatten it down in the middle of the day. Because I don't know if if you have been to Stonehenge, but I mean, it's out in the country, but it's Stonehenge and there's people out there. It's not like out in the boonies where no one goes.
But they're not looking at the crop field across the street from Stonehenge. So they're looking at the look at it as you're driving to Stonehenge. So they're sitting in the middle of a crop from outside the crop? Yeah, you can't really see the middle of it.
So it actually became one of the most famous at the time crop circles. But it was revealed later that three hoaxers had done it in about three hours and very early in the morning. They just hadn't been noticed until an airplane had flown over it and said, oh, hey, that's going to go. That's interesting.
When you're talking about England, in one of the videos that I was watching, it was in they were talking in 2014, there were over 2,000 crop circles in England. Most of them were concentrated down near that Stonehenge area, not all of them, but there. That same year in 2014, you know, and you said this is kind of dying out. They said there was over 4,700 recorded worldwide.
So there are a lot of crop circles out there. I don't know what the numbers are now, but that was a 2014 documentary that I was watching about the crop circles and the NASDAQ lines, which were kind of interesting to it. It kind of throws into that same geometric thing and what were those about them. Right.
And so the one thing that one of the sites that I researched that crop circles are a mysterious phenomenon, you know, some have been like Rogues said, like Chad said, some have come out to be hoaxes, some people claim to do it, you know, the guy and his friends and sons, you know, we go on to it every Friday night. But that only accounts for just a very, very small fraction of the ones that are out there. But unlike psychic powers, unlike ghosts, unlike Bigfoot, this is a mysterious phenomenon that you can actually see and touch and take pictures of and show people and see from airplanes. The mystery is who exactly makes them.
Yeah. Yeah. Bigfoot does. Bigfoot does.
That's why we understand him. He's got to hide him. He's good at hiding. Yeah.
So kind of going along with that, when I was at work today, I was pulling some stuff off the printer about crop circles and someone was there and was telling me what I was doing. And he was telling me that when he grew up in Idaho, his father had a ranch and they had livestock, tons of cattle. And one time he went out and he found a cow and the cow's brain had been removed, the udders had been removed and there was no blood in the area. So that's another one that kind of goes with the crop circles or, you know, what's doing that is sometimes there's animals in the area also that are being slaughtered in bizarre types of ways.
Right. There's some weird stuff out there, which is an awesome segue into some of the, so we've talked about hoaxers doing it. We've talked about disease. We've talked about, you know, dust devils.
