Crossing Streams Ep. 8: Is "The Americans" on FX the best (and most relevant?) show nobody watches?

from The BizzleCast Podcast by The Bizzle

Crossing Streams hits Episode 8! After a brief opening diversion on the "Dune" novels brought on by Matty G. subtitling the episode "aka Sandworms of Crossing Streams," the Bizzle gets the low down on "The Americans," the best show on tv that you're probably not watching. From there it's on to "The Expanse," which has Matt raving about the long-awaited return of Jared Harris as Anderson Dawes and Jesse doing the same for Frankie Adams' best episode yet as the probably-going-rogue gunnery sergeant Bobbie "Gunny" Draper. Both hosts were completely on board with "Supergirl" taking on the immigration issue while adopting some of the best shooting styles of shows like "Daredevil" and "Arrow," then a fight nearly breaks out over "X-Men" before Jesse cleverly pivots to "Legion," which brought back the terror and finally answered a question or two. The two briefly discuss what web services like YouTube and shows like "Tabletop Gaming" are offering that traditional media can't, and Matt concludes with a positive review of "The Flash," which for the first time in awhile didn't add any new elements to it's too-rapidly expanding mythology. Oh, and we reappraise how much we'll invest in "Iron Fist" after poor initial reviews.
