Crosswalk Crisis at School Shortcut | Las Vegas News

A dangerous crosswalk in Spring Valley is sparking alarm as drivers routinely ignore flashing yellow lights, putting students at risk—especially with the school year underway. Parents report their kids are terrified to cross, and one mom even walks her sons to the curb, insisting they check for three cars before stepping off. Over 400 students were hit by cars last year, four fatally. News crews caught drivers—including an RTC bus—disregarding signals, even when cameras weren’t watching. With construction blocking lanes and traffic heavy, safety experts say this isn’t just inconvenient—it’s a ticking time bomb waiting for a tragic accident.
