Giving up on everything due to the burdens of apandemic, Kingsley spent her time trying to rediscover what made her happy in life sinceshe couldn’t perform/tour.She used the downtime to look for creative ways to make revenue - i.e driving for Uber Eats. Alast, an opportunity of a lifetime rose.Kingsley met Katherine, a longtime downtown Portland WOC shop owner of Event Cosmetics a while back through a mutual friend and loved spending time talking to her about life, music, and beauty, but the two never imagined life would lead them to collaborate. One day adventuring downtown to get air, Kingsley stopped in Katherine’s shop, both venting about how life had really hit their professions with a curveball.Suddenly a light went off, they figured instead of seeing the bad, they would collaborate and create their own good. Katherine spent most of the rest of the year researching everything about Kingsley. What made her personally so vibrant, confident, and bold. What beauty product could embody her and aspire others to be their best self. Kingsley Collection by Event Cosmetic was born!
