Cryoablation

Paul J. Wang, MD is the co-inventor of Cryoablation with Dr. Peter Friedman, MD, PhD.  He is being interviewed about his technique, developed in the late 1980's.  Cryoablation is a cutting-edge medical procedure that involves using extremely cold temperatures to destroy abnormal tissues or tumors. During the procedure, a specialized probe is inserted into the targeted area, delivering freezing temperatures to the tissue. This rapid freezing causes the cells to crystallize and ultimately die off, effectively removing the unwanted tissue.
