Cryptid Stories From Alaska

from Almost Canon Hosted by Nick

This week we check out some of the stories from Ed Ferrell's 'Strange Stories from Alaska and the Yukon'. These little known stories have been pulled from magazines entries and newspaper articles from the late 19th century and early 20th and are a group of stories that are rarely every told. We'll hear about a prospector who fell down as crevasse and found a bigfoot in an ice cave; a fisherman who spotted a serpent tailed merbeing; a group of native Americans who battled a cannibalistic tribe of 'tailed' beings; and a sea cobra that attacked two deputy Marshals on assignment. To help Almost Canon grow, please leave a rating and a review. We are an independent podcast trying to grow a community from the ground up and we need all the support we can get to make this thing work! With your monetary support we can purchase new equipment as well as take Almost Canon on the road. There are several haunted hotels we'd like to investigate and podcast from like the Omni Mount Washington Resort, home of the infamous Bretton Woods Confrence and the Manchester Resort and Spa, where Mrs. Lincoln is still said to reside. Plus so many others! To donate to our GoFundMe, click the link below.

It has ebbed and fluctuated in such a predictably adaptive manner throughout it's relatively short life in the religious realm. This Church has a very sordid past, which it does a very good job of teaching for itself, whether the history is slanted or not, is yours to decide. Join me on a journey through the history of the LDS Church through the eyes of the people that were actually there. We will learn about the founding members, where the practices came from, where the Book of Mormon (Mormon Bible) came from, and most importantly, we will examine Joseph Smith in every aspect possibly available to us today.
