[20250328] Crónicas de San Borondón Este viernes 28 de marzo a partir de las 22:00 horas, el programa de la Radio Canaria ‘Crónicas de San Borondón‘ versará sobre la mitología y la tradición de los gigantes en Canarias. Junto al antropólogo Fernando Hernández, el presentador José Gregorio González analizará los relatos que en las fuentes etnohistóricas, en la tradición popular, y en la toponimia de las islas, aluden a la existencia de hombres y mujeres de gran estatura, que destacaron ante los ojos de los conquistadores, por su fiereza y fortaleza. Figuras como Mahan en Fuerteventura, Junicajo en Tenerife, el Comegente en La Gomera, o lugares como la Sepultura del Gigante en La Aldea, nos remiten a esa creencia en gigantes. El profesor de literatura de la Universidad de la laguna, Darío Hernández, visitará el programa para hablar de las diferentes expresiones literarias y creativas, en formato en micro formato, que se generan con el mundo del misterio como fuente de inspiración. Lo hará en el marco del ‘VI simposium de microficción y misterios’, que organiza el área de literatura de la Universidad de La Laguna. Finalmente, ‘Crónicas de San Borondón’, recibirá la visita de Angelo Iurilli, promotor de Festival de Cultura Ancestral y Música Medicina, Hala-Ken. Este evento, que se desarrollará durante la próxima Semana Santa, reunirá en Tenerife a una nutrida muestra de chamanes, músicos, y guardianes de tradiciones ancestrales llegados desde diferentes países.
