This week on Consider This, Justin Ebert is joined by Ryan Vincent to discuss Luke 13–16 and Psalms 26–45. The conversation explores some of Jesus’ most challenging teachings about family and the cost of discipleship. Justin and Ryan also examine the puzzling parable of the shrewd manager in Luke 16. They then turn to the imprecatory Psalms—passages in which the psalmists call for judgment upon their enemies—and discuss whether these prayers contradict or align with Jesus’ command to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us.
