CTBUH Study Finds 84% Of Tall Buildings Have Been Constructed After 9/11

Visit www.Matot.com to learn more CTBUH STUDY FINDS 84% OF TALL BUILDINGS HAVE BEEN CONSTRUCTED AFTER 9/11 CTBUH released its latest study, The Global Impact of 9/11 on Tall Buildings, as part of the “Tall Buildings in Numbers” series, the company announced in a press release. The study reveals that 84% of buildings 200 m or taller were built after 2001. The study also finds that 86 of the 100 current tallest buildings in the U.S. have been built since 2001, and if the World Trade Center Twin Towers were still standing, they would be the world's 31st and 32nd tallest buildings. Since 2001, the average height of the 100 tallest buildings in the world has increased 141%, with an average height of 399 m. Tall-building growth has also expanded globally, with 49% of tall buildings being in the U.S. in 2001, compared to only 15% of those buildings in the U.S. today. Tall buildings are growing significantly in places such as Asia and the Middle East.
