Cubs Dominate Royals 10-2 | Kansas City Royals News

The Cubs obliterated the Royals 10-2 with a powerhouse offensive display and stellar pitching from Matthew Boyd, who lasted six innings for his seventh straight quality start. Ian Happ launched his 20th homer, and Miguel Amaya crushed a three-run blast in the seventh to blow the game wide open. The Royals’ lone spark came from Starling Marte’s first home run as a Royal, but it wasn’t enough. The Cubs racked up nine hits and shut down any Royals rally with timely offense and solid defense — a dominant win that sets the tone for what’s ahead.
