n the late 90’s James Merendino crafted one of the most iconic comedy dramas of all time, “SLC Punk!” The film is a love letter (many of the characters were based on people he had known) to the punk scene of the mid 80’s, starring up and coming actor Matthew Lillard. However, James had been making movies and working in the business for a few years prior to that. Together, we talk about his career, in which he was mistaken as a PA numerous times on his own sets, getting older and the future of filmmaking.
