Although of Gwich'in and Inuvialuit decent, Kylik was raised in the Southern regions of Canada. At sixteen years of age he returned North to meet his birth mother and family. The experience of rediscovering his culture was profound! In this episode Kylik discusses his journey North, discovering his cultural identity, the importance of the land and traditions to the indigenous people of the Arctic, and how it led him to the establishment of his tour company.
