Culture and Anarchy-Matthew Arnold

Published in 1882, Atlantis The Antediluvian World is a fascinating exploration by Minnesota populist politician Ignatius L. Donnelly, born in Philadelphia in 1831. Donnelly interprets Platos account of Atlantis as a largely factual narrative and seeks to prove that all known ancient civilizations trace their roots back to this enigmatic lost land. His groundbreaking theories have shaped many modern perceptions of Atlantis, including ideas of advanced civilizations, innovative technologies, the origins of present-day races and cultures, and epic battles between good and evil.
