Culture and Politics

The focus of the programme is politics and culture, with a series of pieces examining how political issues affect and are affected by opera, pop music, comedy and theatre. We’ll also examine the fine line between cultural inspiration and cultural appropriation. Appearing live in the studio was Nina Gualinga from Amazon Watch, who discussed the impact of celebrity endorsements on social and political campaigns.
