Curating Career Life Stories: How Did I Get Here? Ep. 58 with JC Heinen
from Curating Career Life Stories: How did I get here? · host Kathy Lawless
Join me for the career story reflections of JC Heinen, Executive Coach & Founder of Jessie’s Heart Foundation. A journey with themes steeped in responsibility, risk taking and intuition. At an early age she’s responsible for helping raise her siblings and for her own financial well-being, so of course she would take actions to be responsible for creating her future. For JC that involves taking risks by proposing solutions, that she is willing to lead and execute, and that solve client and organizational problems she sees around her. Never mind that she’s not done the exact thing that she’s proposing, she trusts her gut and her abilities. It’s not that she doesn't experience some doubt or fear, she does, but her belief that it will all work out because it always has, is stronger. JC’s words of wisdom: “Be responsible for your future. Be strong enough and courageous enough to go for what you want, do it before you’ve got all the answers. Reach out and try things before you believe you’ve got all the education, experience and skills. Just go for it and it will come to you! You’ll find a way!”
