Curating Community

from Capitalism for Good - Between the Interviews

This is my reflection after Kate. There are so many things that stuck out to me. Namely: This idea of taking control over your life and doing things your own way to aid in happiness. It was an interesting perspective when talking to her that she had this take on curating your community. She said that she was happy with where the company and her personal life was now, so she didn’t have these big lofty goals to scale. Her perspective on being content and satisfied with what you’ve built and created in your own life and your own space. I relate to her so much when she talks about being lucky to be surrounded by some really great women and people. That can have a profound impact on the way in which you live your life. In the same way, we’re also kind of curating our own lives by choosing those that we’re keep close to us. I always think about how amazing it is that I’ve been surrounded by so many wonderful people that I’ve collected throughout all these stages of my life. What I’m listening to: Armchair Expert with a friend. It’s a great natural way to talk through the things in our lives through the vehicle of this shared interest of a podcast.
