(I even teamed up with the brand last summer for a giveaway!) Not only does UpDog make delicious kombucha — they’re also a local Winston-Salem brand, making them all the more lovable in my book. Also lovable? The yoga-loving girls behind this deliciousness. Lauren Miller and Olivia Wolff initially started UpDog as a way to share home-brewed kombucha with their friends while they were students at Wake Forest, and since then it’s blossomed into a full-fledged business that’s very much NOT a home-brew situation anymore. Without taking investment, Lauren and Olivia have grown UpDog into a company that supports both of them as well as a full-time employee (and they’re looking for more team members). You can find UpDog Kombucha all around Winston, but also in places in Charlotte, Raleigh/Durham, and even South Carolina and Virginia. Way to go, girls!
