The United States is ramping up cheddar cheese manufacturing – at a time when cheese-making equipment made of stainless steel from Europe has tariffs compounding on tariffs. And as cheesemakers scramble to best compete in this difficult foreign market, production of dairy protein and cottage cheese is also being increased.
