Hello, welcome back to another episode of Broken Record. My name is Ellie, I'm your host, and today we are going to be talking about music that I've been listening to lately. I did an episode a couple months ago talking about playlist I have on my phone and what songs are within those playlists, so I thought it'd be fun to give an update about what I'm listening to currently. So the first songs that I want to talk about are kind of different, but they stem from the same like event, so I'm going to talk about them at the same time.
They're called Danger by Frankie Valley in the Four Seasons and then just a Cloud Away by Feral Williams. So just a Cloud Away was popular to talk for a little bit, but how I originally discovered both of those songs was I was driving around Seattle with one of my friends and she had the Oxcord and she was playing music and both of these songs came on and I really liked it. So I added them to my library and I've been listening to them ever since and they're super fun to listen to. So yeah, I also, so in radio class our teacher, Mr.
Brian, he always plays a song at the beginning of class, whether it be relating to like current events or something that's happening in our classroom or he just likes the song he always chooses one to play. And so a couple of weeks ago he started, he started class with Big Yellow Taxi by Jodie Mitchell and it reintroduced me to that song and I realized how much I love that song, so I've been listening to that. I also literally love Sabrina Carpenter. In like 2015, 2016 I was in love with her, I thought she was so cool.
I loved her album, called Eyes Wide Open and so I've been recently listening to that again. Specifically Kid, William and Girl for Chiang in the middle of starting over, those songs really got me, no they didn't give me, I'd love them. I also love the music videos for them, I think they're so cute and just innocent and it's so fun. I've also been listening to it as it was by Harry Styles.
I love this song, I think it's so good. I love this song. I can't talk highly enough about it, it's so good. I've also been listening to First Class by Jack Harlow.
A snippet of the song was, before it was released, was circling TikTok and it's a very catchy and addicting beat and it's one of 30 songs is St. Blamorous, I believe it's called, is St. Bold and that's all. That might not be the name of the song but it's the part where she sells out glamorous.
Yeah, it's very fun to listen to. I've also, the song's kind of sad, well it's not sad but it's so beautiful and so gorgeous. I've been listening to Hate to be Lame with Lizzie McAlpine and It features Phineas and it is so good. It's so good.
Oh my gosh, I love listening to this song. It's so good. He, Phineas performed at Coachella and he brought out Lizzie McAlpine and they sang it together and it was so cute and I love it. And speaking of Coachella, I have been listening to Man I Feel Like a Woman a lot recently because Shana It's way, came out on stage with Harry Styles and it was so good.
So I've been listening to that and I don't know if you've seen like on the TV or something but there's a new Disney Pixar movie coming out called Light Year I Believe and it's about Buzz Light Year from Toy Story. And in the trailer they play David Bowie's song Star Man and that got me into it again. It's so good and I love listening to it so I've been listening to that recently. I've also been listening to Kate's Brother by Maisie Peters.
Again that's just like such a fun like good beat type of song. I've also been listening to Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac because it's just an iconic song and I love listening to it. Ooh another song that I absolutely love and have been listening to a lot is called Spider Head. It's by Kaycely Elephant and it's so cool.
I love Kaycely Elephant. I think they're such, like I think their music is just so cool. It's insane. Another song that I absolutely love listening to is called Lemonlet Die.
It's called I Poam with Arnie and the Wings or not the Wings. It's a bomb cart me and Wings and I love that song. It's so good. It's so good.
It's so James Bond. It's just incredible. I also have been listening to a lot of old music. I love, I have a playlist on my phone called Kiss and the Kitchen and it's like all filled with like songs from like the 50s and 60s and stuff and it's so beautiful.
I love listening to it. I listen to it when I do my homework or like in class or something. It's so good. I love it.
I love Lemonlet Die by Sunroom. I love that song. I think it's so fun. It's definitely a good summer song.
Ooh, I also love listening to Dumped by Aiden Bissett. Such a good song. It's so good. I saw him when he was on tour with Claire Rosenkranz and they were both so good and I love their music so much.
Ooh, another song that is also literally so iconic and I love listening to it so much is Pontoon by LittleBigTown. Oh my gosh. I love this song. It's so good.
It reminds me of my mom so much because my mom just loved this song and she always plays it when she's like getting ready and stuff. And then the last song that I want to talk about that is so freaking good and I love listening to is by Kueen and it's called Somebody to Love and it's So Good. Literally so good. I went to the Ash concert recently and she sang this song and it was so good.
I love this song so much. I love just like the building, the building-ness of it. Like how they layer all the vocals and then the instruments. It's so cool.
It's so cool. I love listening to it. Yeah. Thank you so much for listening to this quick little episode talking about music that I've been listening to lately.
