Curt and Greg Recap Day 1 of 2025 Indy 500 Practice!

Tonight, on Trackside with Curt Cavin and Greg Rakestraw as he fills in for Kevin Lee, they recap the opening day of practice for the 109th Indianapolis 500, with Will Power on top after a weather affected day. They also talk about way too early bump day candidates. They later talk about what to expect differently for the second day of practice.  In the second half of the show, Curt and Greg look at who impressed as one of the one off drivers. They also talk about how many more Indy 500’s Helio Castroneves, Marco Andretti, Ed Carpenter, and Takuma Sato will compete in. They later talk about how impressive Dreyer & Reinbold Racing looked in their return with Ryan Hunter-Reay and Jack Harvey.   Then to wrap up another edition of the show, Curt and Greg talk about how Kyle Larson looked on the first day of practice, along with the rest of Arrow McLaren. They later talk about what would be a bigger story: Josef Newgarden winning three straight, Helio Castroneves winning his fifth, Kyle Larson successfully pulling off the double, or Alex Palou continues his dominant stretch.
