Coach Miller becomes the 14th WNBA player or coach to join us in The Sports Deli Podcast. Coach Miller talks about his upbringing in Girard, Pennsylvania, and how he became the youngest Division I coach in history at the time he started coaching college basketball. He talks about coming out as a gay white male which which was extremely difficult even though his brother and sister had already come out. His evolution in that space is incredible as he talks about this as well his white privilege and how he initially took a back seat during the racial reckoning after the death of George Floyd but quickly realized as uncomfortable as it was, his leadership in this space was imperative. He talks about how words matter as does context and some of the mistakes he's made and how proud and honored he is to be a layer and a leader in the WNBA during this historic 25th year.
