Working in customer service or other types of service occupations Well, actually any work where you have to deal with helping or guiding or serving people Can be a challenge. I actually love working with people especially standing in front because You will be in the spotlight and you will also be the first one to get the complaints or the first one to get praised when something is good I'm lucky. I love people in general, but when you're trying to serve people who Treat you like you are beneath them or they are acting like they are king or the queen of the world It truly push my patients to hold other level. It's not good and I understand if you pay for a service You should get it.

I'm not an easy customer myself. So I get it But I never whistle or shout or yell at a person behind the counter or the person trying to serve me I will rather leave actually than being rude And that doesn't mean that I will not complain if my food is bad or cold Or if something I bought from the store is broken or damaged or doesn't stand the standards they said it would be But I do it in a good way in a polite way in a respective way There are so many ways you can do things without being disrespectful or being a bad person and People they need to understand that Most likely the person behind the counter or in front of you. They're not trying to ruin your day on purpose I swear They are not trying to ruin your day Maybe it will feel like it, but they are not I promise you. Maybe they're having a bad day Maybe it's an off day or maybe it's all the things around them Fell down in the same time and they don't act the way they should but you shouldn't reflect their attitude You should try and be positive or at least be polite because you will get so much in return and maybe also you can help to Turn the other person's day around Imagine if you can actually help by if you give a person behind a counter a smile and thank you Maybe you save that person's life you save the day actually because maybe the day has been so awful that they don't know If they want to come back to work and if you just say thank you, and I will say oh Thank you.

How wonderful of you to notice me. I've been a choice guide. I've been a waitress and I am a trained receptionist and I've also worked Christmases in different type of shops and boutiques I've dealt with my share of difficult people and customers But the way I feel is that when I usually when I treat people with respect and attention and try and figure out what they actually need I Get respectful behavior in return and it goes both ways and another thing I don't put my customer service face on you go to work the customers they get a real smile They get real attention and they get the real me and in that way it becomes more personal Because I care and because I like customer service, and I like my job and customers are not stupid Customers to get it if you don't like your job doesn't matter what kind of job you have it, but Do it to the best of your ability do it to the best of your will Don't just hang around do the best job. You're doing if it means you are wiping the counters cleaning the toilets cooking the food serving the guests Wrapping the paper whatever you're doing just do it good or do it to the best of your ability It matters it really really matters and I'm hard to please.

I'm a difficult customer I said so before and I am I hands down. I'm a difficult customer I want service I want people who know how to do their job But I never disrespect people and also I never look down on anyone for having a job different than my own Because I see everyone is the same everyone is equal and everyone is equally important in the hotel. I work If the cleaning stuff don't clean the rooms Or if the chefs don't provide good breakfast or if the bus or car or plane transportation is not working Then it doesn't matter how well my performance as a receptionist because I cannot make up for all the other problems Everyone in a workplace work as a team doesn't matter how big or small your job is but when everyone gets behind something and have a Goal together and they want to achieve something together as a group Even if you're just two people working in a place if both of you really show that you love your jobs The customers will feel it if you have a major company with 20 50 100 500 1000 employees It's hard to make all of them love their jobs and it's hard to make all of them show up to work with their game face on It's not easy at all But if the management and the directors of the company put it as a priority I believe that so many things can be changed. I don't like to walk into a shop or a place where I don't feel important I want to feel important if that means just a simple hello when I enter in some cases for me That's enough.

I don't necessarily need someone to push me around showing me all the things they have No, it's not about that It's about being seen and it's about the stuff being able to see or notice when the customer needs help to have something explained or to Maybe they have something in stock where we should don't have outside in the store can be so many things and sometimes also customer They don't know what they want. There is one clothing shop in town. This is my favorite shop It's quite expensive and I know that when I enter this shop I will usually spend a few thousand Norwegian growing around it and I enter the shop the main lady working there The head of the shop she knows me and she just she comes to me and says it okay What are you searching for today, ma'am? And I'm like, uh, I don't really know but I would like something for fall She's like, okay, just go in the dressing room I will find a few items for you and she will bring she knows what I usually wear like skirts or dresses So she will start something like that and I will say maybe this I need something like maybe I and she's okay I'll go find it and she bring this weather or she bring me a jacket or maybe she brings me some shoes or it can be a scarf And then I say actually I need a new pants and she will bring me the pants She think is suitable for me and that's another thing she thinks about what will look what I mean not necessarily What is the newest thing in the shop?

And in that way I will spend so much money on it and then we have other places in town I go in there I don't see the stuff. They don't say hello I just go inside and I don't see anything because there's so much to see and I'm just walking around like an idiot like Okay, they have sweaters. You have jackets. You have dresses.

You have skirts. You have so many things But there's so much that I don't see the details and I don't understand if it will look at me And then we have other places when I go and they're like, oh, how can I help you? And I'm like, okay, I'm looking for a skirt and they just pull down every skirt they have And whatever I put on they say I look fabulous in it. Sorry.

I don't Everybody type needs a different outfit. I will not be fabulous in everything. It's impossible. Nobody's like this So customer service is sticky Know what your customer wants know how to sell it or if you are new at your job smile Just smile and say sorry, excuse me.

I'm new I will get my manager for you if you need something extra she can explain it better than me Just apologize or just say you're new. It will fix everything if you don't know everything. I promise And if you're a customer Look up from your freaking phone first of all And smile and always always say thank you
