The CEP involves three assessments: (a) the ASVAB, an aptitude test that estimates your capacity for academic and vocational endeavors; (b) the Find Your Interests (FYI) inventory, which identifies job activities you would like to perform; and (c) the Work Values Situational Judgment Activity (WV SJA), which identifies what you most value in, and desire to receive from, the work you do.Following ASVAB administration (about 90 minutes), students will participate in a Post-Test Interpretation (PTI) session where they (a) learn what their ASVAB scores mean, (b) complete the FYI and WV SJA, and (c) begin to explore occupations (we link to more than 1,000 civilian and military careers through the Department of Labor's Occupational Information Network [O*NET]). Homeschool parents are encouraged to attend the PTI session.ASVAB CEP is open to students in 10th grade and above (college students included). There is no obligation to military service or to speak to a recruiter.
