CXC Cares | Diversity & Womxn Creatives

from Culture in the Craft · host culturexcraft

On the last day of Womxn's History Month we wanted to make and take a moment! We’ve created this episode as a piece to come back to, not just for a month, but in future to support our womxn listeners. Our co-hosts Esther, Amy and Lor connected with the incredible Monique Henry-Hudson to have a conversation as #WOC in the #creative fields. Combining real talk and practical advice from practising women experts at various stages in their careers. Expect to hear questions like, what can you do if you can’t find a space that serves people like you? How to approach networking/career progression on our terms? Plus we talk the small changes that can make a big difference to making spaces more welcoming for people like us.  Enjoy your show. - Culture in the Craft We’re a #poc #podcast by a collective of practicing creative experts talking about animation, games, VR/AR/MR +, digital design (motion graphics etc), VFX, Prod Mgmt (aka the biz side) and more as people of colour. Join our mission to boost #diversity in creative spaces so we smash skills gaps, share our successes and showcase talent in our communities.  FOLLOW | SUBSCRIBE | SHARE: #culturexcraft www.facebook.com/culturexcraft @culturexcraft SPECIAL HOST/ EVANGELIST: Monique Henry-Hudson and DiverseToons  NORTH STARS & BEACONS: Issa Rae, Ava DuVernay, Shonda Rhimes, Malorie Blackman, Amma Asante, Victoria Alonso, Karen Blackett, Anjelica Roselyn, Kaitlyn Yang, Sonya Carey , Nicole Crentsil & Paula Akpan (Black Girl Fest), Roshni Goyate & Leyya Sattar (The Other Box) and Mona Chalabi  THE CAST/COLLECTIVE: Amy | Producer/Project Director // insta: Ansabaansaba Esther | Designer // twitter: @artsybuk insta: artsybuki Lor | Resident Head of Production & Snr VFX Producer // twitter: @_gal_lor linkedIn: lornad CREW/SUPPORT: Our thanks to - Emma Butt Sounds (Dubbing Mixer, ADR Recordist, Sound Editor) Attributions: Robbero | The Power of Will c/o CCMixter ABSRDST | Say Goodbye c/o Free Music Archive © 2019 Culture in the Craft
